It’s been a year since the launch of the Oyster bag, marking a starting point for a new direction of design where volume is created by folds and patterns, different from a traditional approach to bag design. It quickly became our bestselling piece and the research on shells continued. Now, one year on, we are launching a new edition: the Oyster Small. This time we dove into the playful side of its design and proces, envisioned through the eyes of Studio Alfons Meyer. A film that reveils a sequence of discoveries with stylist Linda van Waesberge and choreographer Yorrith de Bakker.

The Oyster small

The Oyster small is a refined, more compact edition of the original, redefining the existing Oyster S and M as Oyster medium and Oyster large. Designed with an adjustable system that allows it to be worn both short and long, with a side pocket to tuck away the remaining strap into its lining.

Oyster medium

The Oyster Medium was the starting point of the series. Introduced as the Oyster S, it establishes a balance between form and use. A size developed for everyday carrying, close to the body.

Oyster large

The Oyster Large carries a softer structure, where the folds are more visible in movement. With increased volume, it comes closest to the natural folding of a shell. An internal laptop compartment is integrated discreetly, preserving the drape of the bag.

A limited edition

To mark the launch of the Oyster Small, we introduce a limited edition: Pearl. It is made from soft calf leather that has a subtle, pearl-like shine inspired by the inside of an oyster shell.

The large shell

Behind the scenes we crafted our own very large shell in the atelier. The shell is hand-painted to mimic a real oyster shell.
