Created in collaboration with designer Jonas Van Put, originally released in 2025, the Ensis combines the precision of leatherworking with the sculptural approach of furniture design. Its wooden handle is inspired by the slender form of a razor clam, also known as Ensis. The blackened and charred handle of Ensis III is created through a controlled burning process. Charring wood is a Japanese method of wood preservation, called Shou Sugi Ban, where the carbonized surface acts as a protective layer for the material. The bag itself is formed through two sculpted leather halves coming together like a closing shell. Made from a special leather that consists of layers of black and white creating a unique structure.

Measurements: 29 cm x 15 cm x 12,5 cm

The wooden handle is cut and hand-filed in Belgium and the bag is handmade in our Tunisian atelier.

- An Afromosia wooden handle
- Adjustable strap to wear on your shoulder that is detachable. The maximum length of the strap is 97 cm.
